About these mazes

These Thanksgiving mazes come in three levels: the easy maze is a 6 × 8 grid with wide paths that little hands can follow with a crayon, the medium one has 10 × 13 cells and more turns and the hard one is a 15 × 19 grid full of dead ends. A picture marks the start and another the finish, so even children who can't read yet know where to go.

Easy suits ages 4–5 and is good pencil-control practice; medium works for ages 6–7, and hard for ages 8 and up. They make a calm table activity at home, a morning work sheet, or a quiet-time page for a holiday party.

Every maze prints on one page in US Letter or A4 with thick lines that copy well in black and white, and comes with an answer key that shows the way through. Each one is checked by a computer solver: there is exactly one path from start to finish and no loops.

  • Let younger kids trace the path with a finger first, then with a crayon.
  • Print the answer key on a separate sheet so they can check their own way.
  • Color in the start and finish pictures when the maze is done.
